Nouner Scout rounds are open invites for interesting individuals to joins Nouns as a nouner (noun owner). Share your unique contributions and ideas for the chance to be granted a Noun, become a key player in our vibrant community, and help shape the future of Nouns.
Each round involves a one-week proposal submission period followed by a four day voting period. Submissions are open to all innovative minds ready to make an impact. Nouns voters will then vote on the best submissions. The submission with the most votes gets awarded one Noun.

Who can participate in Nouner Scout rounds?
Everyone is welcome to submit themselves as a candidate for a Noun. However, only those who fit the description will be considered.

What qualifies as an exceptional individual?
Folks who have done something extraordinary in any field. Examples may be: founded and sold a company, developed a large audience on social media, made a movie, built a popular open source project, lead a high-impact non-profit, etc.
How are submissions evaluated and selected?
Nouns voters will vote on their favorite submissions. One Noun equals one vote. The submission with the most votes will be granted a Noun.
What does earning a Noun entitle me to within Nouns DAO?
Holding a Noun means you get to participate in Nouns DAO governance. You can propose ideas yourself, sponsor others' ideas, and vote on proposals. Review the latest proposals here and ongoing updates from teams here.
Are there any tax implications if I win?
Please be aware that receiving the Noun may trigger tax obligations in your jurisdiction. If you find yourself needing to sell the Noun to meet these obligations, it's important to reconsider your participation in Nouner Scout. Doing so could undermine the initiative's intended purpose.
How many rounds will be held?
In this initial phase of the experiment, we will be holding three Nouner Scout rounds, running one round on a bi-weekly basis.
Can I submit to more than one round?
Absolutley! We encourage all participants to come back to the next round to submit again.
What happens if my proposal is selected?
If your proposal wins, you will be sent a Noun to the wallet from which you proposed.
What are the expectation of me if I do win?
While the Nouns are granted with no strings attached, we hope that you will use your Noun to participate in Nouns DAO governance. You can propose ideas yourself, sponsor others' ideas, and vote on proposals.
Where can I see the latest happenings?
Nouns world is expansive. You can view governance at nouns.camp, proposal updates at updates.wtf, and community chatter on the Nouns Farcaster channel.
Can I participate in Nouner Scout if I'm new to the crypto space?
Yes! We're actively trying to bring on people from all backgrounds. The weirder, the better.
What is the timeline from submission to awarding the Noun?
Once the submission period ends, the voting period will begin. Once voting finalizes, the Noun will be sent within the next 24 hours (usually faster) to the wallet from which you proposed.
